Consumer credit

Members of chambers are regularly instructed to act for creditors, suppliers and debtors in matters concerning consumer credit and regulated agreements.

This constantly changing area of the law, now incorporating important changes under the Consumer Credit Act 2006, requires an attention to detail and a mastery of the complex array of secondary legislation as well as an ability to deal with those in debt sensitively. Members who specialize in consumer credit are familiar with these demands and can also advise on contract terms and enforcement procedures.
