The Inquest Team at Field Court Chambers offers barristers at all levels of seniority with a wide range of specialist interest and particular experience. Members of the team are pulled from all of our specialist teams, bringing their expertise in other areas of law including family, criminal, police, personal injury, clinical negligence and public/local government law, to their coronial law work.
Representation is catered to the interested party’s requirements, but often involves advising from a very early stage in the process up to and including advising and appearing in subsequent civil claims or disciplinary proceedings.
Members of the group have experience of representing all parties involved, whether that be bereaved families, local authorities, the police, hospital trusts or housing associations.
We also regularly appear in jury and Article 2 inquests and have an Assistant Deputy Coroner among our ranks which adds valuable insight in to these proceedings.
