We are proud to have implemented Advocate’s Chambers Pro Bono framework during 2024 and have signed up again to the framework for 2025.
This will be our 3rd year of confirming our commitment to pro bono work and improving access to justice.
Since 2023, we have completed Advocate’s 4 framework actions each year by:
- participating in a range of pro bono initiatives through organisations that provide free legal advice and representation
- holding a pro bono seminar
- reporting on the pro bono work done
- having a barrister and a clerk pro bono champion.
As the Bar’s national pro bono charity, Advocate wants to enable every chambers in England and Wales to help address the growing need to support individuals in desperate need of legal assistance, who cannot obtain legal aid or afford counsel.
