Francis Hoar invited to give evidence to House of Lords Select Committee on the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013

Public law barrister Francis Hoar appeared before a House of Lords Select Committee today to give his views on the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013. The committee was keen to hear his comments on the legislation in light of him representing the successful petitioners in the groundbreaking electoral fraud case: Erlam v Rahman.

The committee is conducting an inquiry into the introduction of individual electoral registration. The measure is intended to improve the security of electoral registers.
