We are delighted that 20 members of chambers have been included in Legal 500 2025 and that we have been ranked as a set for our Court of Protection and community care practice for the 1st time. Francis Hoar leads Savannah Laurent in Court of Appeal ‘free expression’ case
Francis Hoar and Savannah Laurent appeared in the Court of Appeal yesterday. Their client, a colorectal surgeon was appealing his suspension by the General Medical Council after he claimed that COVID-19 is a hoax.

Savannah Laurent acts for local authority in public and private law proceedings concerning 2 children
Savannah Laurent represented the local authority in a case concerning 2 children and secured 21 findings against their mother. The judge made a s91(14) order to prevent the mother making further applications to the court without its permission. The judgment is reported as A Local Authority v EF & Ors [2023] EWFC 178

Savannah Laurent acts pro bono for father granted contact with his child after several years’ separation
Savannah Laurent represented pro bono a father at the final hearing in private law children proceedings. He successfully secured an order to have contact with his 13-year-old child after several years of not seeing him.
