The theme of the conference this year is The Impact of Racism on Housing. Recent surveys by Shelter and the Joseph Rowntree Trust highlight how the current housing emergency manifests itself most acutely in the structural inequalities and injustices it perpetuates, denying minority groups the right to safe and secure homes.
How should housing lawyers respond? Legal reforms will not work if people do not have access to the legal advice and representation necessary to help them enforce their rights.
