Bill Bowring represents successful applicant in Hayrapetyan v. Armenia

Bill Bowring successfully represented the applicant in a case concerning whether criminal proceedings for high treason against the applicant were admissible. He raised complaints under Articles 6 and 8 of the Convention.

The court decided that the complaint concerning the lack of a public hearing was admissible, that there had been a violation of Article 6 and 1 of the Convention on account of the lack of a public hearing and that the respondent State is to pay the applicant €3,600.
