Our pupil barristers Robert Sharp and Benedict Flinn have completed their first 6 months of pupillage with us and can now appear in court.
Both accept instructions in all our practice areas.
About Robert Sharp
In his first 6 months of pupillage, Robert focused on public law, family law and Court of Protection.
Before pupillage, he worked in the housing and litigation department at a London local authority.
Prior to embarking on a career in law, Robert spent 10 years as the head of campaigns at English PEN, a human rights charity. There, his focus was on press freedom and libel. He provided research support to the defendants' legal team in a long-running libel case of Serafin v Malkiewicz [2020] UKSC 23.
Robert is a qualified mediator.
About Benedict Flinn
During the non-practising period of his pupillage, Benedict focused on property, housing, homelessness, trusts and family law.
Before coming to the Bar, Benedict worked as a legal assistant for a local authority. He regularly conducted advocacy in possession proceedings in the County Court and also in Magistrates’ Court prosecutions under the Licensing Act 2003, Education Act 1996 and Environmental Protection Act 1990. Previously, he also spent time working as paralegal in the Paris office of a major US law firm.
He has a degree from St John's College, University of Cambridge, in Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Italian).
