Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council v PR & Ors [2019] – Family Law Week case summary

PR was a 32-year old adult who became vulnerable due to a deterioration in her mental health resulting in her voluntary admission to hospital. Prior to that time, PR had lived with her father (SR), mother (TR) and a sibling. Whilst in hospital, PR made allegations related to SR. These allegations led to the local authority having concerns about PR's welfare if she was to return to the family home on her discharge from hospital.
