Robert Sharp and Benedict Flinn join us as pupil barristers

We are delighted to welcome Robert Sharp and Benedict Flinn who start their pupillage with us today.

About Robert Sharp

Robert studied politics & philosophy at the University of York. He worked on freedom of expression and privacy campaigns for more than a decade.

In 2021, he completed a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) for which he achieved a 'distinction'.

The University of Law awarded him a prize for opinion writing.

Before pupillage, Robert worked as:

  • an assistant lawyer for a local authority housing and litigation department and,
  • a county court advocate, providing support and representation to clients in various legal proceedings.
About Benedict Flinn

Benedict has a BA (Hons) in modern and medieval languages (French and Italian) from the University of Cambridge. He achieved a distinction in his GDL from the University of Law.

Before pupillage, he worked as:

  • a paralegal in the international arbitration practice of a US-headquartered law firm
  • a legal assistant for a local authority, and
  • a volunteer education advocate for the Communities Empowerment Network.
