Rebecca Handcock acted as junior counsel to the Home Office in the Brook House Inquiry (into allegations of mistreatment at an immigration removal centre).
The chair of the inquiry, Kate Eves published her final report yesterday which makes 33 recommendations.
The chair said “the events that occurred at Brook House cannot be repeated”. She called upon the government and other recipients of the recommendations to publish responses within six months.
