We are delighted to announce that Joanna Thom has joined us as a tenant after completing pupillage with us.
Joanna trained in a range of areas of law and plans to focus on public, housing, family and employment law.
During pupillage, she assisted Francis Hoar in judicial reviews about Covid vaccinations for children and mandatory vaccination of care home workers. She was also involved in various public law children cases (lengthy fact finding hearings) with Barry McAlinden.
About Joanna
Joanna has a background in political campaigns. Before pupillage, she worked at the Center for Countering Digital Hate, the Fawcett Society, and as Mobilisation Manager on the national People's Vote campaign.
She has a BA (Hons) in History from Durham University. She was awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship by Lincoln’s Inn, an advocacy scholarship for the Bar Professional Training Course and a Lord Blunkett Widening Access Award by The University of Law for her Graduate Diploma in Law.
She obtained a Very Competent in her BPTC at The University of Law and a Distinction in her GDL.
