To raise money for our 2026 charity partner, Become, that supports children and young person with experience of the care system, we held a tapas evening yesterday. It was an enjoyable way to fundraise and socialise with colleagues.
Advocate has published a report on our Chambers Pro Bono Framework activities during 2025. The summary shows that around 29% of our barristers engaged in pro bono work.

Ryan Anderson represented pro bono an employee who won his £25,000 claim for loss of wages against his former employer following their total failure to pay him over a 13-month period. Unusually for an employment tribunal case, the judge also found that the threshold had been met for making a pro bono costs award against the respondent company.

For the 2nd year running, our family law barristers are on the Child Abduction Lawyers’ Association pro bono duty advocate rota. The CALA duty advocates scheme aims to advise and assist litigants in person in international cases in the High Court (which generally involve child abduction).
