Advocate has published a report on our Chambers Pro Bono Framework activities during 2024.
The summary shows that around 25% of our barristers engaged in pro bono work.
We received instructions from a range of not for profits: Action for Children's London Advocacy Service, Advocate, Not Beyond Redemption, Pro Bono Connect and others.
Advocate's report features 2 case studies of pro bono in action, both family law-related.
- Harrison Engler represented a mother in a private child law dispute about schooling and contact.
- Barry McAlinden acted for a maternal grandmother and step-grandfather in a High Court application for return orders concerning their 2 grandchildren.
