Legal 500 2023 recognises 10 members of chambers for their expertise. Additionally, we continue to be ranked as a set for our social housing law group - tier 2. Thank you to all our clients for your support during the year and particular thanks to everyone who gave feedback on our barristers.

Applications have opened for the second intake of students on the planning and public law mentoring scheme for underrepresented groups at the Bar. The scheme aims to encourage undergraduates and postgraduates from groups that are not well represented at the Bar to consider becoming barristers.

John Hamilton is leaving chambers following his appointment as a Judge of the First Tier Tribunal, Asylum and Immigration Chamber. He takes up his role this month.

In May, the Home Secretary appointed Francis Hoar to sit on the panel shortlisting and interviewing candidates for Metropolitan Police commissioner. Sir Mark Rowley started in the role today.

We are delighted to welcome Aristide Hoang-Brown who starts his pupillage with us this week. Aristide achieved a Distinction/Outstanding in his Barrister Training Course (BTC). For 18 months after his law degree, he worked as a paralegal in a busy family law firm. Since completing his BTC he has been working as a County Court advocate.

Rebecca Handcock has been newly appointed to the London C panel of junior counsel to the Crown. Her appointment takes effect from 1 September and lasts for 5 years.

We are delighted to welcome family law barrister Lily Cooke as a new tenant. Lily’s practice covers all family law proceedings: children law (both private and public), domestic abuse, divorce and ancillary relief.
